Thrive DMV started the same way a lot of good ideas do: frustrated parents at the kitchen table, trying to figure out summer plans..

Every year we found ourselves opening dozens of tabs, bookmarking PDFs, scrolling through parks department pages, nonprofit sites, and camp websites—trying to compare dates, locations, ages, and prices. It was time-consuming, confusing, and way harder than it needed to be

So we decided to do something about it.

We're parents in the DC area who wanted a simpler way to discover camps and programs for our own kids—and figured other families were probably feeling the same pain. Thrive DMV is our attempt to make that search easier: one place to explore options, get a sense of what's out there, and find programs that actually fit your family.

We're just getting started.

That means the site is growing every week, and your input really matters to us. How We Collect Camp Information

We gather camp details from publicly available sources such as government recreation departments, nonprofit organizations, and private camp websites. We regularly refresh the data and try our best to keep everything accurate and current.

Our listings aren't sponsored—they're simply programs we've discovered and added to help families find options.
